Import and export data analysis of titanium products in March 2021
According to customs data, in January 2021 China imported 395,900 tons of titanium ore, up 69.40% year-on-year and 12.31% YoY. January-March cumulative imports of about 1,027,000 tons, up 31.11% YoY and up about 243,700 tons in total from January to March 2020.
Among the top three countries of titanium ore imports in March: Mozambique, Norway, Kenya; accounting for 39%, 16%, 14% of total imports, respectively.
According to customs data, China exported 2,414 tons of titanium ore in March 2021, down 71.90% year-on-year and up 15.78% YoY; the cumulative exports from January to March were about 9,945 tons, down 15.74% YoY.
According to customs data, China exported about 126,900 tons of titanium dioxide in March 2021, a decrease of 14.92% year-on-year and an increase of 34.38% YoY. The cumulative exports from January to March were about 328,000 tons, an increase of 1.46% YoY and an increase of 4731.86 tons compared with the cumulative exports from January to March 2020.
Among them, the top three countries of titanium dioxide exports: India, Brazil, South Korea; respectively, accounting for 12%, 7%, 7% of total exports.
In March 2021, China imported about 16,200 tons of titanium dioxide, up 32.57% year-on-year and 11.64% YoY; January-March cumulative imports of about 46,500 tons, up 24.67% YoY and up about 9211.67 tons from January-March 2020.
The top three regions of titanium dioxide imports are: Australia, Taiwan, Japan; accounting for 26%, 21%, 11% of total imports.
March 2021 titanium sponge imports of 541 tons, up 33.01% year-on-year, 73.21% YoY; January-March cumulative imports of about 1879.14 tons, up 12.73% last year, compared to 2020 1-3 cumulative imports of about 212.25 tons.
March 2021 titanium sponge exports 102.3 tons, an increase of 0.79% year-on-year, an increase of 10.59% YoY, compared to the cumulative exports from January to March 2020, an increase of 45.44% YoY, cumulative export volume growth of about 71.2 tons.
