Daxing will expand its organic coatings shipments in 2019
Lin Cheng-yih, chairman of liquid crystal chemical material supplier Daxing Materials Co., Ltd. (Yoda Optoelectronics and Changxing Chemical Joint Venture) said that after the shipment began in the fourth quarter of 2018, it is expected that the 2019 IC packaging process will be organically coated. The shipment of layer materials will be further expanded.
At present, sales of chemical materials produced by LCD panels and touch screens account for 90% of total revenue. Lin expects the company to open its display and semiconductor business in the future.
New chemical products currently under development include UV vertical alignment (UV2A) PI (polyimide) films, FFS (Fringe Field Switching) and PSA (Polymer Stable Orientation) crystalline materials and for the production of foldable substrates and micro LED panels Other materials, Lin revealed.
The company reported that its revenue in November increased by 1.03% quarter-on-quarter and 16.89% year-on-year, reaching a record NT$403 million, mainly driven by increased shipments of materials such as PSA and PI alignment films.
Year-to-date, the company's total revenue was NT$4,024 million, an increase of 12.62% year-on-year, and has exceeded NT$3,917 million for the full year of 2017.
The company also reported a net profit of NT$462 million or NT$4.5 per share for the first three quarters of 2018, with a gross margin of 34.3%.
