Sinopec Southwest Petroleum Bureau will produce more than 700 million cubic meters of natural gas in January 2023
In January 2023, Sinopec's maximum daily output exceeded 25 million cubic meters, with a cumulative production of 760 million cubic meters of natural gas, a year-on-year increase of 6%, a record high. Since the beginning of the year 2023, Sinopec Southwest Petroleum Bureau has increased its efforts in oil and gas exploration and development, increased reserves and increased production, strengthened production and operation guarantee, and achieved a good start.
During the Spring Festival, Sinopec Southwest Petroleum Bureau made every effort to ensure the supply of natural gas, carefully organized the production of 1858 wells, and more than 3800 employees at the frontline of work areas in West Sichuan, Northeast Sichuan, and South Sichuan stuck to their posts and strictly adhered to the "lifeline" of gas supply safety. It produced 169 million cubic meters of natural gas, and continuously supplied natural gas to eight provinces (cities) including Shanghai, Zhejiang, Hunan, and Sichuan.
It is reported that in 2023, based on the "ten hundred billion cubic meters of reserves targets", Sinopec Southwest Petroleum Bureau has formulated ten safeguard measures such as exploration and development, safety and environmental protection, and technological innovation, and plans to produce 9.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, helping to improve the quality and speed of the construction of a hundred billion cubic meters of natural gas production base in Sichuan and Chongqing.
