19 Typical Cases Selected as Domestic Waterway Tourist Passenger Boutique Routes

On August 27, the Ministry of Transport released typical cases of domestic waterway tourism passenger boutique routes for 2025. The 19 cases released this time are divided into four types: cultural tours, natural landscape tours, coastal sightseeing tours, and urban landscape tours, further promoting the quality upgrade of waterway tourism passenger services and fully leveraging their important role in expanding domestic demand and boosting consumption.

The selected routes fully integrate the unique characteristics of local water areas, achieving a deep fusion of water transport and cultural tourism. Many routes connect coastal attractions and historical sites, innovating the "cruise+" model, covering scenarios such as general sightseeing, study tours, leisure vacations, and nighttime check-ins, stimulating the vitality of local cultural tourism consumption.

It is understood that the Ministry of Transport has been continuously carrying out the cultivation and selection of boutique waterway tourism passenger routes, forming a tiered cultivation framework. In 2024, the Ministry of Transport released 36 typical cases of boutique routes for the first time, including the "Two Dams and One Gorge" of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, the Sanya-Xisha maritime tourism route, and the ancient canal of Yangzhou. The newly selected batch of boutique route typical cases further expands regional coverage and enriches product forms.
